Sales & Service Manager - Battersea
The Sales & Service Manager at ALO's Battersea location is a pivotal member of the store leadership team, responsible for implementing the company's business and guest experience strategies. This role focuses on achieving business targets, enhancing sales performance, and fostering a team environment aligned with ALO's guiding principles. The primary objective is to ensure an exceptional in-store experience for all guests.
Key responsibilities include identifying and addressing sales opportunities by collaborating with the General Manager to resolve process or system issues. The manager oversees the Sales & Service team, ensuring outstanding guest engagement and product education, and provides continuous feedback and coaching to team members. Additionally, the role involves developing workforce solutions to maintain effective sales floor coverage and leading selling initiatives as needed. Partnering with the General Manager, the manager contributes to crafting and executing the store's Sales & Service strategy.
Candidates should possess prior leadership experience in retail or a related industry, along with proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The role requires agility to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, a strong motivation to drive business in a fast-paced setting, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Independent work ethic, effective time management, and personal accountability are also crucial. Alignment with ALO's guiding principles is expected. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, and safely use a ladder, as well as the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the entire shift.
The position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with 75% of the time dedicated to managing the retail floor and coaching the team. Availability for opening, closing, and weekend shifts is required to support the business and team needs.
