The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at KnowBe4 serves as pre-sales support, focusing on qualifying leads at the initial stages of the sales funnel. This role involves researching potential customers, educating prospects on product offerings, and passing qualified leads to the sales team. The primary objective is to convert leads into qualified opportunities by collaborating with marketing and sales to execute inbound lead generation campaigns. The SDR is expected to meticulously track all relevant information regarding qualification and lead management activities using and Salesloft.

Key responsibilities include identifying and qualifying prospective customers who align with KnowBe4’s range of products and services, including Egress. The SDR will develop opportunities for the sales team through prospecting and marketing-generated leads, implement outbound prospecting strategies to engage potential buyers, and respond to and qualify inbound leads and inquiries. Collaboration with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approaches is essential, as is developing and executing strong prospecting plans, including crafting effective email and call scripts. Maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in and Salesloft is crucial to ensure successful follow-through of the sales cycle.

The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree or relevant experience, with familiarity in IT security concepts being advantageous. Proficiency with Gmail, Google Docs, and MS Office is required, along with proven leadership abilities and organizational project management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good computer skills, and a friendly phone demeanor are essential. The candidate should be “pleasantly persistent,” capable of making multiple attempts to reach prospects, and able to leave engaging messages. Being highly organized and results-oriented is a must, and fluency in German is required.
