Sales Development Director (m/f/d)
As the Sales Development Director for Germany at Wellhub, you will lead a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and mentor a BDR Team Lead. This role bridges high-level regional strategy with daily operational excellence, focusing on defining the German outbound playbook, optimizing the tech stack for the local market, and scaling the leadership bench to consistently exceed pipeline and revenue targets.
Key responsibilities include leading and executing the DACH go-to-market strategy, coaching and developing a Junior BDR Team Lead, and partnering with Marketing and Account Executives to ensure strong lead flow and handoffs. You will provide clear pipeline forecasts, maximize conversion through effective lead qualification, drive personalized prospecting, and optimize the use of tools like Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Additionally, you will adapt messaging to the German market, streamline tools and workflows, and recruit and scale the team for growth.
The ideal candidate has over 5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or director role. A passion for coaching and developing others is essential, with a proven track record of mentoring BDRs or AEs who have advanced in their careers. Strong analytical skills to identify issues in conversion funnels, experience managing SDR/BDR teams for challenger brands, and the ability to position solutions as mission-critical are crucial. Familiarity with the German business culture and the HR space, along with knowledge of key sales development metrics, is also required.
