Retail Workforce Management Lead
The Manager, Labor Planning at ALO is responsible for overseeing the retail labor budget, staffing models, and related reporting to ensure optimal store operations. This role acts as a bridge between labor demand and store staffing, aligning leadership structures with evolving business volumes and providing clear guidance during peak periods such as holidays and major promotions.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing the retail labor budget in collaboration with Finance and Workforce Management, delivering monthly labor analyses to explain variances and recommend actions, and maintaining weekly labor reports to monitor staffing levels and productivity. The role also involves assessing forecasting accuracy, defining staffing structures by store and revenue tier, and ensuring leadership models remain aligned with business needs.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Operations, Finance, or a related field, along with 5-7 years of experience in workforce management, labor analytics, or retail operations analytics. Demonstrated ownership of a labor budget at scale, experience in designing and evolving staffing models across multiple retail locations, and strong analytical skills are essential. Proficiency in building operational and financial reports, including variance analysis, is also required.
