The Retail Purchasing Specialist at ALO is responsible for managing procurement and purchasing activities that directly influence the customer-facing brand experience. This role collaborates closely with Visual Merchandising, Store Development, and Finance teams to develop scalable, cost-effective, and operationally sound purchasing strategies that uphold ALO's brand standards.

Key responsibilities include overseeing fixture purchasing for new store builds, remodels, and capital improvement projects globally. The specialist tracks data to support brand consistency, speed to market, and cost control. Additionally, they identify, onboard, and manage specialized vendors, support RFPs, pilots, and negotiations, and balance custom versus standard solutions to optimize scalability and return on investment.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Design Management, Operations, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing, particularly within visual or retail categories. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills, is required. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, the ability to work independently, and a high attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects are essential.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 per year. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including location, experience, and performance. Additional rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a PTO policy, and other progressive benefits.
