Remote Operations Center Operator
Silicon Ranch Corporation is seeking a Remote Operations Center Operator to join their team in Nashville, TN. In this role, the Remote Operations Center Operator will be responsible for the real-time monitoring, control, and operational compliance of utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants from a NERC GOP-2 compliant Remote Operations Center (ROC). Key duties include monitoring and operating solar PV plants using SCADA, EMS, and plant monitoring platforms, executing remote switching and curtailments, and responding to dispatch instructions from Balancing Authorities and Transmission Operators. The operator will also coordinate with field operations and engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Candidates should have experience in real-time operations and monitoring of solar PV plants, with proficiency in SCADA, EMS, and plant monitoring platforms. A strong understanding of NERC Reliability Standards and experience in grid operations are essential. The role requires excellent communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders, as well as the ability to respond effectively to operational directives and manage incident responses. Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools, such as Power BI, is advantageous.
