Regional Payroll Operations Specialist (1 Year FTC)

The Regional Payroll Operations Specialist at Atlas HXM is responsible for executing, validating, and resolving complex payroll activities across assigned countries or regions. This role ensures payroll accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness by applying statutory expertise, payroll controls, and data validation practices. As an individual contributor, the specialist directly oversees payroll accuracy, issue resolution, and adherence to compliance within their scope.

Key responsibilities include performing detailed validation of payroll inputs such as earnings, deductions, taxes, and employee data changes prior to processing. The specialist executes pre- and post-payroll reconciliations, identifies and resolves data inconsistencies, and validates payroll outputs against statutory requirements and internal policies. Additionally, they own the end-to-end resolution of complex payroll cases, conduct root cause analyses, and coordinate corrections across payroll and HR systems.

The ideal candidate possesses 3–5 years of experience in payroll operations, processing, or administration, with demonstrated expertise in resolving complex payroll issues, including reconciliations and corrections. A strong working knowledge of payroll calculations, tax applications, and statutory compliance requirements is essential. Proficiency in payroll systems and Excel, along with the ability to handle sensitive payroll data with accuracy and confidentiality, is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills are also necessary.
