Quantitative Developer
IMC is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join our New York team. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend research and engineering, enabling rapid iteration from idea to live trading. As a Quantitative Developer, you will build systems that transform quantitative insights into measurable trading advantages, with direct visibility into the impact of your work.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems that span both research and production environments. Your tasks will include designing high-fidelity simulation and backtesting infrastructures that accurately model latency, market microstructure, and real-world constraints. Additionally, you will define, compute, and curate features across various instruments, regimes, and time horizons, ensuring clean and consistent delivery from research to execution.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience in quantitative software development, preferably within a trading firm or systematic fund. Strong production experience in Python and C++ is essential, along with a solid grounding in probability, statistics, and time series analysis. Familiarity with backtesting and simulation frameworks, as well as a solid understanding of machine learning concepts as applied to systematic strategies, is highly desirable. Experience with low-latency systems and the ability to work fluidly across research and engineering teams are also valuable.
IMC offers a competitive base salary ranging from $200,000 to $225,000 USD. In addition to the base salary, all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
