Quantitative Analyst – Legal & Financial Structures
Sterlington PLLC is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join our Corporate/M&A practice. This role is integral to our firm's commitment to analyzing complex corporate, litigation, executive compensation, and private wealth matters from both economic and legal perspectives. The position is 100% remote, operating on Eastern Standard Time, and reports directly to the Head of Corporate/M&A Practice.
The Quantitative Analyst will be responsible for integrating AI-assisted workflows to enhance the speed, depth, and accuracy of analyses. Key duties include modeling complex business and financial arrangements, mapping ownership and incentive structures, stress-testing assumptions to identify economic sensitivities, and developing analytical models for live client matters. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to the evolution of AI-enabled analytical practices within the firm.
Candidates should possess a PhD or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Finance, or a closely related quantitative field. Expertise in utilizing AI tools for data modeling and analysis in a professional context is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong judgment, the ability to operate independently in a remote, high-performance environment, and a passion for untangling complex financial structures. Prior experience in law is not required.
