QA Engineer (Mid/Senior)
Talon.One is seeking a Mid/Senior QA Engineer to join our Research and Development department in Berlin. Our cross-functional teams, comprising Developers, Interaction Designers, QA Engineers, and Documentation specialists, collaborate under the guidance of Product and Engineering Managers to develop our platform. Each team operates with relative autonomy, encouraging original ideas and fostering professional growth, with a strong emphasis on quality at every stage.
In this role, you will become an expert in the Talon.One product, particularly in the area your team is responsible for. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering functions to ensure that delivered features consistently meet high-quality standards. Your responsibilities include setting the test strategy, engaging critically with all functions from the outset of each feature, ensuring design and behavioral consistency between features, and maintaining strong, efficient test coverage at every level. You will also determine which test scenarios should be included in our suite of end-to-end automated tests and implement those using Cypress. Additionally, you will proactively assist junior Quality Engineers, provide timely feedback, guide them to success, and contribute to mentorship programs and onboarding new joiners.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English, with a precise description of complex interactions. You should be capable of architecting a strong test strategy and have a strong track record in advocating for quality at all levels of the development process. A minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience delivering quality web applications with test automation, including REST APIs/GraphQL, is required. An active interest in testing security and infrastructure would be a great plus.
