QA Engineer
As a QA Engineer at Energy Exemplar, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team responsible for the development and testing aspects of our applications. Energy Exemplar is a global leader in energy market simulation software, dedicated to empowering transformative energy decisions. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing requirements, creating and executing both manual and automated test cases, and analyzing the results. You will report bugs and errors to development teams, conduct post-release and post-implementation testing, and work closely with software developers and other QA engineers to deliver high-quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Additionally, you will generate reports such as defect analysis and feature status reports, and follow the software development life cycle methodology with a specific focus on software quality.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 6 months to 1 year of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing. Proficiency in web application testing and test strategies is essential, as well as basic hands-on experience with automation frameworks and scripting. Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools, an understanding of performance/load testing concepts, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage time effectively while working both independently and as part of a team are also required.
