CannonDesign is seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer IV to join their multidisciplinary team, focusing on large-scale building projects in sectors such as education, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology. This remote position is open to candidates across the United States, with a preference for those located near Arlington, VA; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Minneapolis, MN; Pittsburgh, PA; or St. Louis, MO.

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of complex HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment selection for large-scale buildings. You will work independently across all mechanical disciplines and may assist with plumbing and fire protection designs as needed. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring and providing technical leadership to designers and engineering teams, overseeing the use of energy modeling software, and preparing Revit/BIM models for construction drawings.

Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of related experience and hold a current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States. A LEED accreditation is preferred. Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently in all mechanical disciplines are essential. Experience with engineering design programs such as Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus is required.

The salary range for this position is $98,124 to $122,706 per year, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
