Procurement Analyst
IMC is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Procurement Analyst to join our Sydney-based team within a leading global trading firm. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across trading, technology, and operations, as well as colleagues globally, to deliver effective sourcing, supplier management, and commercial support across the business. You will take ownership of your work, drive outcomes, and ensure procurement operates as a trusted and value-adding function.
Your core responsibilities will include performing end-to-end procurement activities such as sourcing, supplier onboarding, contract management, and purchase order administration. You will analyze spend and supplier data to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, you will ensure timely and efficient procurement outcomes that align with strategic and operational goals. Additionally, you will assist with supplier management, including tracking performance and maintaining strong working relationships, and contribute to process improvement, compliance, and cost optimization initiatives. Partnering with the global procurement team on cross-regional projects and initiatives will also be a key aspect of your role.
The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in a procurement, sourcing, or supply chain role, or transferable experience from an operations or project management background. Direct procurement experience is advantageous but not essential. Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with data, including manipulation and reporting tools, are required. You should be hands-on and dependable, with a natural inclination to take ownership, dive into the detail, and follow through on commitments. Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to build credibility and rapport with stakeholders both locally and globally. Comfort operating in a global environment and the ability to collaborate effectively with counterparts across EMEA and the US are also important.
IMC offers a collaborative and high-performance culture, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
