Principal Systems Architect
Engine is seeking a Principal Systems Architect to lead the architecture of platforms that drive their go-to-market operations, including Salesforce, Outreach, Slack, ZoomInfo, AWS Connect, and their integration with Snowflake and other engineering systems. This senior individual contributor role involves designing and implementing production-grade automation, setting technical standards, and collaborating with various teams to translate business challenges into scalable, metadata-driven solutions.
In this role, the Principal Systems Architect will own the end-to-end design of Engine's Salesforce stack, encompassing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, AgentForce, and Experience Cloud. Responsibilities include architecting declarative-first, metadata-driven solutions that minimize technical debt and maximize administrative efficiency, as well as setting standards for governor limits, bulkification, sharing, and security across the organization. The role also involves designing the middleware fabric that connects Salesforce to various tools, managing workflow design, error handling, and observability, and determining the appropriate use of different technologies and patterns.
Candidates should have over 8 years of experience architecting Salesforce at scale, with expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Flow, Apex, LWC, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud. Experience with or similar integration platforms, as well as production experience with Outreach architecture, is essential. A strong working knowledge of Slack as a platform and proven experience integrating go-to-market systems with data warehouses and product systems is required. The ideal candidate will possess a systems-thinking approach, with the ability to design data models, event flows, and contracts, and have experience managing the full integration lifecycle.
