Principal Radar Systems Engineer

STR is seeking a Principal Radar Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced radar systems within the Systems Development Division. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions that meet complex customer requirements. STR is dedicated to delivering national defense capabilities through mission-focused strategies, emphasizing the entire lifecycle of technology systems from conceptualization to deployment.

In this position, the Principal Radar Systems Engineer will research and lead new RF sensing implementations for advanced radar solutions, decompose complex customer needs into system concepts, and design cutting-edge technology in multi-function radar systems. Responsibilities also include conducting performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing, ensuring systems meet customer needs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and architectures.

Candidates should possess an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and eligibility for special access programs. A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Radar Systems Engineer is required, with a background in designing, developing, and deploying radar systems. Proficiency in radar simulation tools and MATLAB, along with experience in preparing and delivering briefings to customers and senior management, is essential.
