The Principal Product Manager, LLM Innovation at Headspace will lead the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance product capabilities, improve member experiences, and drive business impact. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, AI, and customer needs, owning the roadmap for LLM-driven innovation and guiding cross-functional teams to explore, validate, and scale generative AI solutions that support personalized care and engagement throughout the wellness journey.
Key responsibilities include defining and owning the vision, strategy, and roadmap for LLM-based product innovation across Headspace. The role involves identifying, prototyping, and validating high-impact generative AI use cases in partnership with engineering, research, and design teams. The Principal Product Manager will translate complex LLM capabilities into intuitive, valuable user experiences and drive cross-functional alignment across product, data science, design, go-to-market, and operations. Additionally, the role requires establishing scalable frameworks, best practices, and reusable systems for LLM integration, evaluating external tools and partnerships to inform build vs. buy decisions, and defining success metrics to ensure LLM initiatives deliver measurable user and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years leading AI or machine learning initiatives. Strong technical fluency in LLMs, generative AI, natural language processing, and AI-driven product development is essential. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to execute, balancing long-term vision with delivery, and a user-first mindset with a track record of translating technical capabilities into customer value. Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills are necessary, along with a strong understanding of the generative AI landscape, including vendors, research trends, and regulatory considerations.
The anticipated base salary range for this full-time position is $205,200 to $287,500, plus equity and benefits. Compensation is determined by factors such as location, relevant experience, job-related skills, and education or training.
