Patient Access Counsel
Axiom is seeking a Patient Access Counsel to provide legal guidance on patient support programs for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. This remote role focuses on copay assistance programs, HUB services, reimbursement support, and patient access services related to high-cost and specialty therapies. The ideal candidate will have direct experience advising pharmaceutical manufacturers on patient access programs and expertise in Fraud & Abuse risk management, particularly concerning patient support program structures.
Key responsibilities include offering legal counsel on the design, implementation, and oversight of patient support programs, advising on Fraud & Abuse risk management, reviewing program structures and vendor relationships to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, supporting patient access initiatives involving specialty therapies, biologics, and high-cost treatments, and collaborating with Market Access, Commercial, Compliance, and Patient Services teams.
Required qualifications are direct experience advising pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturers on patient access or patient support programs, experience with copay assistance programs, HUB services, or reimbursement support programs, a strong background in Fraud & Abuse laws as applied to patient access initiatives, experience working within pharmaceutical manufacturer infrastructures or similar patient support environments, and an active license in good standing in a U.S. state.
Compensation for this role ranges from $1,045,000 to $3,250,000 per year, based on experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
