The ACLU is seeking a full-time Paralegal to join its Voting Rights Project at the National office in New York, NY. This hybrid role requires in-office presence two days per week or eight days per month. The Voting Rights Project, established in 1965 alongside the Voting Rights Act, is dedicated to building and defending an accessible, inclusive, and equitable democracy free from racial discrimination.

The Paralegal will provide comprehensive litigation and administrative support to the legal team. Responsibilities include filing, reviewing, and organizing litigation documents such as briefs, motions, and discovery materials; cite-checking, proofreading, and formatting legal documents; maintaining electronic and physical case files; processing invoices and tracking expenses; coordinating travel arrangements; and providing logistical support for hearings and trials.

Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in civil rights and civil liberties, possess a bachelor's degree, and have at least one year of paralegal or related administrative experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required. The role demands initiative, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The annual salary for this position is $78,979, reflecting the New York, NY location.
