OTC Finance Commercial Assistant - French desk, Warsaw HUB
The OTC Finance Commercial Assistant role is situated within Clifford Chance's commercial hub in Warsaw, forming an integral part of the finance team. This position focuses on enhancing efficiency and reducing lock-up across the order-to-cash cycle, primarily collaborating with finance and secretarial colleagues from French-speaking offices and the offshore team in Delhi. Occasionally, the role may involve direct interaction with fee earners, including Partners.
Key responsibilities encompass supporting the Matter Inception process to ensure compliance with client agreements, monitoring and obtaining missing billing information such as PO Numbers and Client Matter IDs, and entering and maintaining fee-earner charge-out rates. The role also involves following up on overdue invoices by sending automatic reminders, managing invoice statuses, liaising with local offices for escalations, and ensuring the accuracy of billing dispatches. Additionally, the assistant will assist in complex bill amendments and handle the amendment, authorization, and printing of bills.
Candidates should be fluent in English and French, with Polish language skills considered desirable but not essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a good understanding of order-to-cash financial processes are required. A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred, and prior commercial experience would be advantageous.
