Operations Developer
IMC is seeking an Operations Developer to join its highly collaborative Middle Office technology team, which supports critical operational workflows. In this role, you will build and maintain custom data pipelines and internal tools that support reconciliation, reporting, and trade-related processes across the business. You will work closely with analysts, finance, and trading support teams in a fast-paced environment where reliability, automation, and operational excellence are paramount.
Your core responsibilities will include working daily with the Mid-Office, Finance, and Trading teams to ensure all data has landed for reconciliation and reporting. You will monitor for production issues and provide quick responses to help eliminate downtime in our operational pipeline. Additionally, you will collaborate with various data providers, both internal and external, to ensure timely delivery of data and provide feedback on file formats and data quality. You will also work on projects to automate new and existing operational processes, document technical processes for business users, and develop and maintain front-end applications to keep up with our evolving operational environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of direct, hands-on Python development experience, including object-oriented programming, unit tests, and type hints. You should also have 3+ years of direct, hands-on SQL experience, including common table expressions, indexes, and stored procedures, with familiarity with MS SQL Server preferred. Experience in gathering business requirements, communicating with key stakeholders, and delivering solutions quickly is essential. An excellent command of the Python language and ETL development, along with an automation-focused mindset, is required. Qualifications in Computer Science, Data Development, or Workforce Automation are expected. Previous experience within financial services, as well as experience with QlikSense, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD, are beneficial but not prerequisites.
The base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $165,000 USD. Base salary is only one component of total compensation; all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
