Headspace is seeking part-time, independently licensed therapists to provide virtual care as 1099 contractors. This role involves delivering teletherapy services to clients in Ohio, utilizing Headspace's HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. Therapists will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality, measurement-based mental health care.

Key responsibilities include conducting teletherapy sessions, completing clinical case notes within 48 hours, maintaining licensure records, updating availability calendars, and collaborating with health coaches, psychiatrists, and external care providers. Therapists are expected to offer at least 10 sessions per week, with flexibility to adjust based on demand.

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of clinical psychotherapy experience with individuals, couples, or families. An independent clinical license at the Master or Doctoral level in good standing is required. Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness is essential, along with experience in risk management and higher acuity cases. Familiarity with telehealth technology and a commitment to culturally responsive care are also necessary.

Compensation ranges from $69 to $74 per teletherapy session, with rates determined during the interview process based on factors like location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated. Session lengths are 60 minutes for intakes and 45 minutes for follow-ups, with concurrent note-taking included in the session rate.

Joining Headspace offers therapists access to comprehensive training, clinical support, and a robust quality assurance process. The platform provides thousands of expert-led exercises and tools to supplement client support. Therapists benefit from administrative support, a best-in-class training institute, and a community of peers and experts dedicated to providing lifelong mental health support.
