New York Funds & Asset Management Knowledge Lawyer
Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Knowledge Lawyer to join their Funds team in New York. This role is designed to support the Funds team by providing practice support, knowledge management, AI adoption support, horizon scanning, thought leadership, and training.
The primary responsibilities include offering precedent and resource recommendations, conducting legal research, and providing guidance on various fund matters. The Knowledge Lawyer will coordinate with the firm's opinion committee to update and maintain legal opinion templates and facilitate access to the firm's resources and services. Additionally, the role involves collecting, curating, and making accessible a collection of precedents, templates, checklists, and other know-how materials relevant to fund matters. Collaboration with lawyers across the firm's network on firm-wide knowledge management initiatives is also a key aspect of this position.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited US law school and be admitted to the New York Bar. A minimum of five years of experience practicing law in fund formation, particularly in closed-ended, private fund structures, and related regulatory considerations is essential. Strong legal research and analytical skills, along with the ability to create, manage, and update legal precedents, templates, and other knowledge resources, are required. Experience in organizing and producing training sessions, briefings, and presentations for lawyers and clients on a broad range of legal topics is also necessary.
Clifford Chance offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $275,000 to $350,000, with actual compensation commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
