Missouri Remote Licensed Therapist, 1099 Contractor

Heidrick & Struggles is seeking a Missouri-licensed therapist to join their team as a 1099 contractor, providing remote mental health services. This role offers the opportunity to deliver virtual care to clients across Missouri, utilizing a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. As a contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule while being part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health support.

In this position, you will conduct virtual therapy sessions, including initial intakes and follow-up appointments, with concurrent note-taking expected during sessions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record system, ensuring all notes are completed and signed within 48 hours of each session. Additionally, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as health coaches, psychiatrists, and external care providers, to deliver comprehensive care to clients.

The ideal candidate holds an independent clinical license in Missouri, such as LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCPC, LPCC, or LPC, and has a minimum of three years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families. Proficiency in evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness is essential, along with experience managing higher acuity cases and risk management. Strong communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams are also required.

Compensation for this role is based on a per-session rate, with pay varying by state and determined during the interview process. Session lengths are 60 minutes for initial intakes and 45 minutes for follow-up appointments, with note-taking included in the session time. As a 1099 contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule, offering a minimum of five sessions per week, with the option to provide additional sessions as needed.
