As a Mid-Market Account Executive at Gong, you will play a pivotal role in acquiring new customers and fostering strong relationships within the mid-market segment. This position is based in Chicago and involves managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals. Gong is a leader in revenue intelligence, providing AI-driven solutions that help over 5,000 companies worldwide enhance their sales performance and customer understanding.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include managing prospects from initial contact through to deal closure, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and clearly articulating Gong's value proposition to generate excitement among potential clients. You will also be responsible for running and implementing pilot programs, maintaining accurate weekly sales forecasts, and achieving quarterly sales quotas.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant closing experience, complemented by outbound SDR/BDR experience. A background in SaaS and enterprise software sales is essential, with a proven track record of closing deals ranging from $50,000 to $250,000. Experience selling platform solutions and to sales leaders is advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication skills, creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment are also key qualifications.
