Medical Case Manager Virtual Assistant
The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is seeking a Medical Case Manager Virtual Assistant to join our Personal Injury department. This role involves coordinating client medical treatments, reviewing and organizing medical records, and ensuring comprehensive documentation throughout each case's lifecycle. The Medical Case Manager is integral in supporting attorneys and case managers by maintaining accurate records, identifying treatment gaps, and contributing to optimal case outcomes.
Key responsibilities include coordinating and monitoring client medical appointments, communicating with clients, healthcare providers, and internal legal teams regarding care and case status, and requesting, reviewing, and organizing medical records and billing documentation. The role also involves tracking treatment progress, identifying gaps or delays in care, assisting in preparing medical summaries and chronologies, maintaining accurate client information in our case management system, tracking liens and provider information, and managing multiple cases while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in Personal Injury or Medical Case Management within a law firm, a strong understanding of medical terminology, treatment processes, and billing, and experience handling medical records, providers, and liens. Proficiency in case management software is a major plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively are essential.
