Headspace is seeking part-time, independently licensed therapists to provide virtual care as 1099 contractors. This role involves delivering teletherapy services to clients in Maryland, utilizing Headspace's HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. Therapists will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality, measurement-based mental health care.

Key responsibilities include conducting intake and follow-up therapy sessions, completing clinical case notes within 48 hours, maintaining licensure records, updating availability calendars, and collaborating with health coaches, psychiatrists, and other care providers. Therapists are expected to offer at least 10 sessions per week, with flexibility to adjust based on demand.

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families. An independent clinical license at the Master or Doctoral level in good standing is required. Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness, along with experience in risk management and higher acuity cases, is essential. Familiarity with telehealth technology and a commitment to culturally responsive care are also necessary.

Compensation ranges from $82 to $87 per teletherapy session, with rates determined during the interview process based on factors like location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated. Session lengths are 60 minutes for intake and 45 minutes for follow-up appointments, with concurrent note-taking included in the session rate.

Headspace offers a supportive environment with comprehensive training, clinical support teams, and access to a best-in-class training institute. Therapists will have opportunities to collaborate with peers and Headspace experts, contributing to the mission of providing accessible, lifelong mental health support.
