Canonical is seeking a Marketing Team Lead to oversee and drive marketing initiatives that enhance the company's brand presence and product adoption. The position is remote, with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues worldwide.

The Marketing Team Lead will be responsible for crafting and implementing comprehensive marketing plans, aligning with product, sales, content, and partner teams to deliver integrated campaigns. Key duties include shaping messaging and positioning that resonate with target audiences, designing and running experiments to test marketing hypotheses, driving major product launches and growth programs, and conducting reviews to enhance performance and impact. Additionally, the role involves mentoring team members and setting high standards for delivery.

Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English, an exceptional academic track record, and proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally within software, SaaS, or open-source environments. A successful track record in shaping go-to-market strategies, messaging, and campaigns that drive pipeline growth is essential. The role requires adaptability to change and new technologies, leadership capabilities to elevate team performance, a solid understanding of ROI and budget management, and the ability to influence and align stakeholders across the organization. Proficiency in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams, as well as a data-driven approach to evaluating campaigns and refining strategies, are also important.
