Marketing Operation Specialist
The Marketing Operations Specialist at Conga is a pivotal role within the Marketing Operations team, focusing on enhancing the company's email marketing initiatives. This position is integral to the Email Marketing Center of Excellence, ensuring that all outbound email communications are executed flawlessly, adhere to brand standards, and effectively engage the target audience. Conga, a leader in commercial operations solutions, serves over 10,000 customers worldwide, including more than half of the Fortune 100®, by unifying processes such as pricing, quoting, contracting, and communications.
In this role, the specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of email campaigns within Marketo, including building, scheduling, quality assurance, and deployment. They establish and enforce email marketing standards, develop A/B and multivariate testing frameworks, and monitor email deliverability to maintain optimal domain and IP health. Additionally, the specialist creates comprehensive performance dashboards to track key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and pipeline influence.
The ideal candidate possesses 3–5 years of hands-on experience in marketing operations or email marketing, with expert-level proficiency in Marketo, including smart campaigns, programs, segmentation, tokens, and reporting. Experience in building and managing email nurture and drip programs, as well as familiarity with sales engagement platforms like Outreach, is essential. A strong understanding of email deliverability and compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL) is required, along with proficiency in database segmentation, list management, and hygiene best practices.
