Logistics Manager, Omnichannel
ALO is seeking a strategic Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize transportation and small parcel shipping strategies within its omnichannel operations. This role focuses on managing carrier performance, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining service reliability to support the company's inventory needs across various channels. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments in a fast-paced, multi-carrier retail environment.
Key responsibilities include managing transportation shipping strategies with an emphasis on last-mile small parcel delivery and freight movement, analyzing parcel and transportation performance metrics, assisting with transportation contract management, and monitoring freight and parcel movements to proactively address service failures and delivery issues. The role also involves performing root cause analyses for service failures, contributing to transportation KPI dashboards, supporting retail store and warehouse programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align transportation strategies with business objectives.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 5-7+ years of experience in global logistics, transportation management, or supply chain operations, including at least 2-3 years in a leadership role. Essential skills include excellent project and change management capabilities, a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, a customer-focused mindset, proficiency in transportation analytics and cost modeling, creative problem-solving abilities, strong business acumen, and outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills. A deep understanding of omnichannel operations and pool distribution for B2B/B2C/DTC in the retail and apparel industry is also required.
The base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 per year, with actual salaries varying based on factors such as location, experience, and performance. Additional rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a PTO policy, and other progressive benefits.
