This role focuses on managing domestic transportation strategies, emphasizing full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) movements to ensure timely performance, cost efficiency, and an exceptional customer delivery experience. The Logistics Manager will serve as the subject matter expert within the distribution center, acting as the primary contact for transportation flow escalations, including parcel, FTL/LTL movements, and pool distribution.

Key responsibilities include managing and executing transportation strategies encompassing domestic trucking, small parcel shipping, and pool distribution. The role requires enforcing operational metrics and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) related to cost, service levels, transit time, and delivery accuracy. Additionally, the position involves analyzing route density, dwell time, mileage efficiency, and linehaul cost per mile/unit to enhance productivity. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of parcel and truckload carriers, pricing structures, and delivery standards is essential. The role also includes utilizing logistics shipping tools and carrier portals to support shipping execution, reporting, and issue resolution, as well as supporting peak season planning and execution by managing communication with local carrier contacts and ensuring smooth operational flows. Collaboration with operations teams, strategy, and product departments to deliver carrier capability mapping and resource allocation models is also a key aspect of the role.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in trucking, parcel delivery, e-commerce logistics, retail, and/or supply chain, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role. Strong expertise in last-mile delivery, global/regional logistics, procurement, and vendor management is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, logistics systems, parcel carrier platforms, ERP platforms, shipment tracking tools, and analytics solutions (such as Tableau) is essential. The candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability, strong business acumen, organizational and analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. The ability to work effectively in fast-paced, complex environments with a high degree of autonomy is important. Proven experience in creating clear and consistent strategies and direction, with skills in planning, development, and execution, is required. The candidate should have a proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and strong proficiency in transportation systems, with the ability to build tools and reports for operational visibility and control. A deep understanding of omnichannel operations and pool distribution for B2B/B2C/DTC within the retail and apparel industry is also essential.
