Logistics Intern
As a Logistics Intern at Fictiv's Guangzhou office, you will play a pivotal role in our daily shipping operations, ensuring seamless logistics execution between our manufacturing partners and global customers. Reporting to the Lead of International Logistics, you will contribute directly to our mission of empowering product innovators by driving efficiency, cost savings, and timely deliveries.
Your primary responsibilities will include handling courier customs on-hold situations for US import declarations, organizing and filing shipping documents for customs checks and financial audits, and assisting in the preparation of logistics reports. Additionally, you will support the logistics manager with various projects and tasks as assigned.
We are seeking candidates currently in their third year of university, majoring in Logistics Management, English, or International Trade. Strong English reading and writing skills are essential, with the ability to communicate effectively via email; fluency in spoken English is a plus. Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables, is required, and familiarity with logistics software such as SAP, ERP, Odoo, or Oracle is advantageous. A solid understanding of international trade terms like FOB, CIF, DAP, and DDP, along with knowledge of international transportation processes and export documentation, is expected. Familiarity with flight routes, ports, customs codes, and related procedures is beneficial.
The ideal candidate will be outgoing, cheerful, passionate, and energetic, with excellent cross-functional communication skills. A strong team spirit, attention to detail, a positive work attitude, and a sense of responsibility are crucial. Knowledge of HTS codes, customs handbooks, or freight forwarding is considered a plus.
