Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm headquartered in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their Nashville, Tennessee office. The Litigation Paralegal will work closely with a lead attorney and litigation assistant, contributing to the firm's mission of protecting the people, not the powerful.
In this role, the Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. They will e-file all court documents in state and federal courts, communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and others, and conduct legal research and factual investigations. Additional duties include preparing discovery documents, drafting and serving summons, coordinating and summarizing depositions, and assisting in trial preparation by organizing exhibits and documents.
Candidates should possess an Associate’s Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred. A minimum of two years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney in a law firm setting is required. Experience in personal injury, workers compensation, premises, first party, medical malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced workload are necessary.
