Litigation Paralegal

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will work closely with our attorneys, providing essential support before, during, and after trials. This role is integral to our mission of defending consumer rights and ensuring justice for our clients.

In this position, your primary responsibilities will include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will be responsible for e-filing all court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist with case settlements.

The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 2 years of litigation experience. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of no less than 35 words per minute are required.
