Litigation Paralegal
Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will work closely with our attorneys, providing essential support before, during, and after trials. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission of advocating for consumer rights and delivering justice to our clients.
In this position, your key responsibilities will include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. You will be responsible for e-filing court documents in both state and federal courts, conducting legal research and factual investigations, and preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. Additionally, you will coordinate and summarize depositions, prepare trial binders and exhibits, and assist with case settlements.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred. A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience is required, along with completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of no less than 35 words per minute are also required.
