Litigation Docket Clerk
Wilson Elser, a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 U.S. offices, is seeking a Litigation Docket Clerk for its Orlando location. The Litigation Docket Clerk will be responsible for electronically calendaring, overseeing, updating, and maintaining the firm’s events through litigation docketing software. This includes scheduling court sessions, legal hearings, and all proceedings related to client matters. The role involves setting up new cases in the firm’s electronic calendaring system, reviewing documents to identify events to calendar, and entering them into the system. Additionally, the Clerk will track the trial calendar and reporting for the Florida region and perform other tasks as assigned.
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of state, federal, and local rules, with a thorough understanding of the litigation process and accurate deadline calculations. A minimum of 1-5 years of litigation docket and calendaring experience in a law firm legal docketing department or clerk's office is required. Familiarity with automated, rules-based docket and calendar systems, such as Milana or Compulaw, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and PDF editing programs is necessary. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and excellent organizational skills. Strong customer service and communication skills, both oral and written, are also important.
