Litigation Docket Clerk
Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices in the United States, is seeking a Litigation Docket Clerk for its San Francisco office. This role involves supporting the toxic tort team by managing and maintaining the firm's litigation calendar through specialized docketing software.
The Litigation Docket Clerk is responsible for setting up new cases in the firm's electronic calendaring system, eDockets, reviewing incoming documents to identify and enter relevant events, and coordinating with attorneys to adjust schedules as needed. Additional duties include managing daily notifications from the e-filing and e-service vendor File & ServeXpress, retrieving and organizing electronic filings and other documents, and preparing and circulating daily and weekly appearance calendars.
Candidates should have 1-5 years of experience in litigation docketing and calendaring within a law firm or clerk's office, with a strong understanding of state and federal civil procedure rules. Proficiency in automated docketing systems like eDockets or Compulaw, as well as Microsoft Office and PDF editing programs, is essential. Familiarity with court filing systems such as File & ServeXpress is required. The role demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
