Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our Washington, D.C. office. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a vital role in managing daily operations and supporting attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and legal support tasks. Your duties will include scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics to ensure smooth case progression. Additionally, you will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing client billing are also key aspects of this position.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, first-party, or other injury-related practice areas is preferred.
This on-site position offers an hourly wage ranging from $24.52 to $28.85, depending on experience.
