Legal Research Analyst
Harbor is seeking a Research Analyst to join its Library + Research department. This fully remote position is open to candidates across Canada and involves conducting legal research and retrieval tasks to support Harbor’s law firm clients. The role requires effective utilization of electronic research resources and internal tools to deliver high-quality research services.
The Research Analyst will perform in-depth legal, business, and other research, distilling findings into clear and concise reports. Responsibilities include evaluating information sources for relevance and reliability, assisting attorneys and legal assistants in using research tools, and maintaining proficiency across various legal and business information resources. The analyst will also utilize request tracking software to manage research requests efficiently.
Candidates should possess an MLS degree or demonstrate relevant professional research experience in a private law firm, academic law library, or research center. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in legal and business research is required, along with proficiency in resources such as Lexis, Westlaw, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines are essential.
