Legal Partnerships / BD Manager

Carta is seeking a Legal Partnerships / Business Development Manager to oversee and expand its global relationships with law firms, investment banks, compliance consultants, and other business partners. This role is integral to Carta's mission of transforming private capital operations by integrating software, services, and legal infrastructure. In this position, you will manage the entire partnership lifecycle, from identifying high-value opportunities to negotiating agreements and maintaining ongoing relationships that drive measurable business outcomes. A background in law or legal services, coupled with an understanding of private markets and their advisors, is essential for success in this role.

Ideal candidates will have over four years of experience in partnerships or account management, with a preference for those who have built partnership channels through law firms, asset management firms, or professional services firms. A strong understanding of the private markets ecosystem—including private equity, venture capital, credit, and real assets—and the legal and compliance workstreams within it is crucial. Experience in managing senior relationships and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organizations is also important. Proficiency in CRM tools, such as HubSpot, is preferred.
