As the Legal Director, Contracts at Carta, you will lead a portfolio of sophisticated investment fund and asset manager client accounts within the Carta Law Contracts team. This role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from initial review to execution, ensuring high-quality service and performance. You will manage a team of lawyers and paralegals, reporting directly to the Regional Managing Director, and be accountable for the quality, speed, and growth of your portfolio.

Your key responsibilities will include supervising client accounts to maintain quality and service levels, acting as the final decision-maker on complex escalations, and driving comprehensive playbook reviews across the team. You will own client onboarding and conversion processes, collaborate with Customer Success to identify and resolve blockers, and ensure alignment with Carta Law's culture and vision. To be successful in this role, you should be a qualified attorney with at least five years of post-qualification experience, possessing deep knowledge of commercial contracts across various document types. Strong coaching and people management skills are essential, as you will be responsible for developing lawyers, balancing performance across multiple teams, and building team capability. Financial literacy to interpret P&L drivers and flag commercial risks, along with the ability to manage complex client escalations independently, are also crucial.

Joining Carta means becoming part of a dynamic team that is transforming how private capital operates.
