Legal Counsel - Payments / Digital Asset

Axiom is seeking a Legal Counsel with expertise in Payments or Digital Assets to join a global banking and finance client in Hong Kong. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on complex legal matters within the rapidly evolving financial services sector.

The role involves managing legal, regulatory, and compliance risks associated with banking, payments, and digital assets. Responsibilities include assessing transactions and new initiatives, advising on evolving laws and regulations, drafting and negotiating agreements with clients and partners, and handling investigations and litigation. Additionally, the position supports regional projects and promotes risk awareness across digital initiatives.

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in Payments or Digital Assets, gained from a bank, financial services firm, or law firm. Experience related to banking or financial services is advantageous. Fluency in both English and Chinese is required.
