The role also involves drafting and submitting public records and transparency requests at various governmental levels, tracking deadlines, managing communications, reviewing obtained records, and assisting in preparing materials for transparency enforcement actions. Additionally, the position supports mapping relationships among institutions relevant to censorship issues, compiles factual records for litigation and legislative initiatives, and aids in developing investigative research files and briefing materials.
Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, with at least three years of relevant experience. A strong background in legal research, public records requests, and investigative support is essential. The role requires excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
