Legal Coordinator, Hong Kong
Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Legal Coordinator to join their Hong Kong office. This role is integral to the firm's Global Financial Markets practice, focusing on debt capital markets transactions. The Legal Coordinator will handle Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing applications, Securities and Futures Commission waiver applications, and KYC-related matters, collaborating closely with both clients and legal teams.
Key responsibilities include guiding clients through the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing and Securities and Futures Commission Part XV waiver application processes, liaising directly with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Securities and Futures Commission. The role also involves preparing and consolidating KYC requests, explaining these requests to clients, and assisting them throughout the process. Additional duties encompass transcribing, editing, and amending legal documents such as offering circulars, as well as coordinating appointments and conference calls with clients and internal teams.
Ideal candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is essential, along with good communication and interpersonal skills. While previous experience in a legal support role is preferred, it is not mandatory. The firm values team-oriented individuals who can work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
