Legal Consultant - Trade Compliance/ Import, Export Control/Sanctions

Axiom is seeking a qualified lawyer with expertise in trade compliance, import/export controls, and sanctions to join their team in Hong Kong. This role involves providing legal guidance on international trade regulations, ensuring compliance with APAC market standards, and supporting business operations across the Asia-Pacific region.

The primary responsibilities include advising on the application and impact of international sanctions regimes, export controls, and global trade regulations. The role also involves overseeing classification, valuation, and customs declarations for APAC trade flows, monitoring geopolitical and regulatory developments in the region, and providing legal guidance to business teams on international transactions. Additionally, the position includes delivering training and guidance on trade compliance obligations.

Candidates should be qualified lawyers with a minimum of four years of post-qualification experience, specializing in trade compliance, sanctions, import/export control, customs, or international trade law. A sound knowledge of trade compliance, import/export controls, sanctions, and customs regulations within APAC markets is essential.
