Legal Consultant - Financial Services - Capital Markets Transactions
Axiom is seeking experienced legal professionals specializing in Capital Markets Transactions to join their team in Singapore. This role involves providing legal support to Fortune 500 clients, focusing on both public and private market transactions. The position is execution-heavy, requiring a hands-on approach rather than strategic oversight.
Key responsibilities include offering legal advice and support to business units and stakeholders within the Transactional and Development Finance sectors, encompassing Project and Export Finance (PEF) and Structured and Export Finance (SEF) teams. The role involves maintaining close relationships with business heads, promoting compliance with legal standards, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Additionally, the consultant will provide transactional legal advice, particularly concerning new products and initiatives, and ensure that regulatory reforms are appropriately assessed.
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of capital markets transactions across both public and private markets, with solid transactional experience working with SMEs, banks, and project managers. A minimum of 5–7 years post-qualification experience (PQE) is required, with flexibility up to 15 PQE. Experience in project financing is a significant advantage. While sustainability experience is beneficial, the primary focus is on strong transactional support.
