Legal Consultant - Equity Capital Markets (IPO) - Singapore Based
Axiom is seeking a Legal Consultant specializing in Equity Capital Markets (ECM) to support a global banking client in Singapore. This role involves providing legal expertise on various ECM transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings, rights issues, and private placements. Candidates from Hong Kong are also welcome to apply, with work visa sponsorship available.
The primary responsibilities include acting as a legal adviser on ECM transactions, supporting the bank in roles such as issue manager, underwriter, and bookrunner, and preparing and reviewing documentation for equity offerings. Additionally, the consultant will lead legal due diligence exercises, advise internal stakeholders on securities regulations and listing requirements in Singapore and Hong Kong, and collaborate closely with deal teams, compliance, risk functions, and external counsel across different jurisdictions.
Candidates should be qualified lawyers with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) focused on ECM (IPO) legal work. A strong specialization in ECM is required, along with training and experience in a capital markets practice at a law firm or in-house ECM legal experience within an investment bank. A proven track record of advising on IPOs and equity offerings involving the Singapore and/or Hong Kong markets is essential, as is familiarity with legal due diligence processes and end-to-end deal execution.
