Legal Consultant - Derivatives

Axiom is seeking a Legal Consultant specializing in Derivatives to join their team in Hong Kong. This role involves providing expert legal support to clients engaged in derivatives and structured products, either from a private practice or in-house perspective. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in this field and possess the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders while adapting to new situations and work environments.

Key responsibilities include working directly with business clients to offer guidance and practical solutions in the evolving financial regulatory landscape. The consultant will draft, review, and negotiate a range of standard and complex derivatives documentation for both sell-side and buy-side clients. Additionally, the role involves assisting with projects in response to current regulatory and political changes, advising on risk mitigation strategies, and maintaining up-to-date regulatory standards. The consultant will also support the development of new products and markets where applicable.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience in derivatives or structured products, gained either within private practice or in-house. The ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders and adaptability to new situations and work environments are essential. Experience in equity derivatives is considered an asset.
