Key responsibilities include utilizing proprietary software to provide accurate input and labels for legal and compliance projects, ensuring high-quality data for AI model training. Collaboration with technical staff to support the training of new AI tasks and contribute to the development of innovative technologies is a significant aspect of the position. Additionally, assisting in designing and improving efficient annotation tools tailored for legal and compliance data, selecting and analyzing complex problems in legal and compliance fields to enhance AI model performance, and interpreting, analyzing, and executing tasks based on evolving instructions are key duties.
Required qualifications include a Juris Doctor (J.D.) or foreign equivalent, with at least two years of practicing law in areas such as Criminal Law, Civil Litigation, Torts, International Law, Health Law, Civil Rights Law, Constitutional Law, Construction Law, Education Law, Employment and Labor Law, Environmental Law, Corporate Law, Business Law, Family Law, Immigration Law, Intellectual Property Law, Patent Law, Real Estate Law, Tax Law, Bankruptcy Law, Administrative Law, Antitrust Law, Privacy and Data Protection Law, Cybersecurity Law, or Energy Law. Strong legal analysis and writing skills, including the ability to draft clear, concise, and well-reasoned legal documents and memoranda, are essential. Proficiency in reading and writing informal and professional English, strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, excellent reading comprehension, and the ability to exercise autonomous judgment with limited data are also required. A passion for technological advancements and innovation in legal processes is important. Relevant certification, license, or advanced training (bar admission or similar legal certification) is preferred.
Compensation for U.S.-based candidates ranges from $45 to $75 per hour, depending on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
