Lead Solution Engineer
Gong is seeking a Lead Solution Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on guiding prospects and customers through the capabilities of our AI-driven revenue intelligence platform. This role is integral to our Solution Engineering team, which serves as trusted advisors, assisting clients in adopting an AI-first approach to their go-to-market strategies and achieving their business objectives.
As a Lead Solution Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success teams, acting as the ultimate product expert and technical advisor. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating the Gong platform to various users, assisting with business assessments such as proofs of concept and pilots, and crafting content to showcase specific use cases. Additionally, you will develop outcome-based demos and solution architecture diagrams for complex scenarios, address RFPs and questionnaires, and work cross-functionally to eliminate bottlenecks in the sales process.
The ideal candidate will have over eight years of customer-facing experience in solution engineering or related roles, with a strong background in sales technology, including CRMs, cloud architecture, or telephony/web conferencing systems. Proficiency in data flows, AI and ML concepts, analytics, APIs, webhooks, or JSON is advantageous. A solid understanding of security and privacy in SaaS systems, as well as key sales personas and workflows within a go-to-market organization, is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, are required.
