Lead Program Manager
The Lead Program Manager will oversee a portfolio of programs within the Systems Autonomy, Analysis, and Modeling (SAAM) Group at STR's Sensors Division. This group specializes in developing advanced sensor systems and platforms to support national security initiatives. The role involves managing multi-disciplinary teams across multiple STR campuses to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives on complex national security programs.
Key responsibilities include executing multiple programs effectively, supporting proposal development, creating and managing subcontractor statements of work, leading multi-functional teams, providing regular program briefs to leadership, fostering a collaborative environment, monitoring progress against goals, and addressing security classification constraints.
Candidates should possess an active Secret-level security clearance with the ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance, a technical undergraduate degree, and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in government contracting or research and development. Experience in program management, proposal management, and leading multi-disciplinary teams is essential. Strong interpersonal, communication, mentorship, and peer-leadership skills are also required.
Preferred qualifications include an active Top-Secret security clearance, experience with advanced RF or EO/IR system concepts, operational and systems analysis, autonomy behaviors and optimization, managing projects larger than $5M for the Department of Defense, risk and opportunity management experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
